Problem mit dem Perl Modul Net::POP3: "... is not exported by the Net:POP3 module"

Frage: Ich erhalte beim Programmieren mit Perl "...." is not exported by the Net::POP3 module, Can't continue after import errors at ./pop3.cgi line 3 BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./pop3.cgi line 3. Ich weiß nicht, woran es liegt.

Derartige Fehler treten durch ein vergessenes Semikolon auf.

Beispiel:

#! /bin/perl; 

use Net:POP3; (!!!!!)

$x="1";

$y="2";

Wenn man das markierte Semikolon wegläßt, erhält man "1" ist not exported by the Net::POP3 module..., Rest siehe oben. Das dürfte mit anderen Perl-Modulen genauso "funktionieren".
